Family Fun & Group Activities

There are so many things to do at Hillside Orchard...

You may Pick-Your-Own blueberries in July & August, and your own apples in
September & October. (The apples are specific varieties, available at specific times.)

Also in September, group field trips bring nearly 1400 students to learn first-hand about how food is grown as they take hayrides through the orchard, past berry patches and pumpkin patches and melon patches, corn fields and rows of tomatoes.

Our annual “Harvest Festival” is held the second weekend of October. Come, join the fun!
We grow tons of pumpkins: big & small, tall & short, and as orange as the sun can make them. And, on weekends (except the 2nd weekend), in October, hop onto one of our hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch to pick your own pumpkin. G-R-E-A-T FUN!!

The month of December brings snow and beautiful Ohio Christmas trees available for purchase to the farm. And Mama Bear, Papa Bear and our worker Bears are creating beautiful gift baskets filled with the finest fruits and goodies for your Holiday giving. In the kitchen, Baker Bear is baking hundreds of dozens of fabulous Christmas cookies - she even uses real butter in them just like Grandma Bear did years ago!

After December 24th, we Bears hibernate for the winter months. In April, we reappear to bring you the most beautiful flowers & hanging baskets to make your home & yard come alive again.
